Brig.-General
Stanley Johnstone delivers an address at his installation ceremony as Chaplain General of
the Canadian Forces. The ceremony, held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Ottawa Sept.
24, was attended by members of the Interfaith Committee on the Canadian Military
Chaplaincy as well as family, friends and members of the Canadian Forces.

Diocese of Ottawa, the Rev. Captain Michelle Staples, speaks at a banquet in her honour at
Saint Paul University in Ottawa Sept. 22. Staples, currently a Unit Chaplain with the Air
Force stationed at 14 Wing, Greenwood, N.S., was named as the Catholic university's
Alumna of the Year. She is the first Anglican among the 13 recipients of the award
established in 1993, and includes Sr. Helen Prejean, author of the bestseller, "Dead

bomber from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ont. -- one of two in the
world that remain airworthy -- flies over the Canadian Aviation Museum in Ottawa Sept. 17
accompanied by other World War II aircraft, including a Spitfire, a Hawker Hurricane and a
P-51 Mustang. The flypast marked the 66th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. |
