Funeral services were held in Notre Dame Cathedral in Ottawa Nov. 11 for Msgr. Roger Morin, P.A, who died Nov. 8 at the age of 84. Morin was a longtime chancellor of the Roman Catholic  Archdiocese of Ottawa and honorary chaplain of Rideau Hall, the residence of the Governor General of Canada. He received many civil and military decorations. Born in Aylmer, Que., in 1922 he was ordained to the priesthood in 1949.

Environment Minister Rona Ambrose is expected to explain why Ottawa has effectively abandoned the Kyoto Protocol when she represents Canada at the United Nations Climate Change Conference  in Nairobi, Kenya, Nov. 14-17. She has come under fire from opposition parties and green groups over the government's environmenal strategy.

A wood duck -- said to be one the most beautiful ducks in North America, if not the world -- searches for food at Mud Lake in Ottawa Nov. 10 providing a sharp contrast to the drab colours of late autumn.
