Cardinal Lubomyr Husar of Ukraine, worldwide leader of Ukrainian Catholics, is to convene a meeting of the Permanent Synod of Ukrainian Catholic Bishops in Winnipeg May 22-29. It will be the first time that the Permanent Synod will be held in Canada.

Michael Bzdel, Metropolitan Archbishop of Ukrainian Catholics in Canada, has announced that Cardinal Lubomyr Husar of Ukraine, father and head of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in the world, will be in Winnipeg May 22-29  to convene an historic meeting of the Permanent Synod  members of the Ukrainian Catholic Church.
