Benedict Benedict XVI has named Most Rev. David Motiuk, 45, as Bishop of the Eparchy of
Edmonton. Born in Vegreville, Alberta, he was rector of Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic
Seminary in Ottawa from 1996 to 2001 and was ordained in 2002 as Auxiliary Bishop of the
Archeparchy of Winnipeg. His installation is tentatively scheduled for March 24 at
St. Basil the Great Ukrainian Catholic Church, in Edmonton by Archbishop Lawrence
Huculak, osbm, Metropolitan-Archbishop of Winnipeg. |
