milliken (Small).jpg (31259 bytes) Liberal MP Peter Milliken was re-elected to his third term as Speaker of the House of Commons on April 3, the first day of the new Parliament. He is elected by a vote of members of all parties in the House and is expected to be non-partisan and impartial in his rulings. Milliken is the MP for the Ontario riding of  Kingston and the Islands .
