Archdeacon Jim Boyles, the General Secretary of General Synod, the governing body of the Anglican Church in Canada, has announced he will retire this summer. Boyles, who led the Anglican Church through the residential schools crisis, said that having turned 65 in February, he decided to retire as of the end of July. |

RCMP Commissioner Giuliano Zaccardelli tells reporters in Ottawa March 22 that "There is no possible way to plan for or manage the insane behaviours of an individual who has crossed the line from criminal to stalker, from suspect to enemy." He also said that a threat assessment was conducted by senior RCMP officers before four Mounties were sent to the farm of James Roszko near Mayerthorpe, Alta., March 3. The four were killed. |
